Premium Shellplate Bearing Kit Dillon RL 550, RL 550B, RL 550C includes the very popular Shellplate Bearing Kit, index sprocket, extra length shellplate bolt, and 3 powder measure adjustment knobs. The bearing kit provides smooth indexing with tighter tolerances. Tactile feel for priming is enhanced and more consistent priming is achieved. The video covers installation for all variations of our kit, some chapters may not apply to the kit purchased. Instructions are not supplied with the kit. The powder measure knob is a simple press fit. Press it onto powder adjustment bolt. After a day or two, the plastic will form to the hex bolt head. Re-adjustment of dies is not necessary. We spent some time loo king at reviews and reading the forums to find out what we could do to improve this kit. A show stopping problem has been how thin the webbing is between the sprocket fingers. This made the sprockets fragile and fingers break off, but not our sprockets. We cast our own and have more metal than any other product on the market. Our sprocket is the strongest available for use with a bearing! When installing the extra length bolt, don't forget to loosen the grub screw on the left side of the ram before removing the bolt, then tighten it back up after reinstalling. Please watch the installation video, it's a part of this listing. We found that the 550 presses simply eat non-metallic detent balls. So we stopped including these with our kits. The 550 relies on the detent ball to position the casings properly. The best solution is using the steel ball supplied with the press.
