MEC incorporates the same high quality standards in the manufacturing of their anodized aluminum Quick-Change Charge Bars and aluminum Powder Bushings. Select Charge bar by SINGLE or PROGRESSIVE press, LEAD or STEEL Shot, Charge size by weight, and Shot size (if black steel shot bar). The RED anodized bars are for lead shot. The BLACK anodized bars are for steel shot. 302 MEC Single Stage Quick-Change Charge Bars are made from anodized aluminum and they accommodate MEC Powder Bushings. 302 bars are for the 600 Jr., 700 and Sizemaster. 502 MEC Progressive Quick-Change Charge Bars are made from anodized aluminum and they accommodate MEC Powder Bushings. 502 bars are for all MEC progressive reloaders (Grabber, 9000, etc.). Therefore, the weights listed on the bar are only a guideline; it does not guarantee what weight will actually drop. This is because the density and size of different pellets can and do vary. Therefore, it is essential that you check the actual weight of the shot that is dropped with a reliable powder scale. After checking a couple drops, you will know what your bar is dropping.
